This illustration was a study in digital group portraits. I experimented with using loose brushstrokes as opposed to starting with linear under sketches to laydown proportions. The result was an impressionistic depiction with a heavy atmospheric filter.

Here is a portrait of a local Sacramento comedian sitting down with a cat. It was a study in focusing on greyscale and natural light.

This picture is a celebrity study of the late comedian Richard Pryor (1940 - 2005) and took approximately 1.75 hrs to make.
